![]() ![]() Conversation was lacking compared to how I saw staff interact with other tables (ex: they told other people specials but not us). ![]() I felt as though I was judged for my lack of "fancy" attire as we weren't treated the same as the rest of the clients. He had it with the pasta and sauce and it was not nearly as watery as mine so I just assumed it was an error with my dish. However, my husband had the eggplant dish and he truly loved it. I couldn't even put any sauce on my fork/pasta because it fell right through. I've been to a rural part of Italy and I do not remember this being a "standard" there in terms of authentic style. I couldn't taste anything as it was waterlogged. That may have been due to the fact that my sauce was beyond watery. It says the pasta is house made so I really just wanted to go all in for the house made experience. The pasta was super tasty! The meatballs were honestly just okay, lacked flavor. I ordered just a classic pasta and meatballs. My first visit I cannot say the same but not to say I won't go back for a second try. It seems to be everyone else is in love with this restaurant. Our overall experience was fun, friendly, and good food. The sauce just needed some more herbs & garlic for my liking. The Italian Braciole was tender but needed some more herbs and cheese but was tender and tasty. The homemade pasta was good but a little chewy. The chicken parm was good but was a little dry. Seeing I was with family we tried each other's dinners. The owner came to our table a couple of times, she was very friendly. The people in the restaurant were friendly and the staff very pleasant. The place is small, I did feel a little uncomfortable with the tight quarters. We moved to a small table at the rear of the restaurant to enjoy dinner. We were joined by a daughter and her boyfriend for a couple of drinks. We enjoyed a glass of wine with some eggplant chips and calamari very tasty. We sat at a little booth near the bar because my mother is handicapped. ![]() The bar area is nice & friendly, seeing that I knew four of the people at the bar. I stopped in the Solevo Kitchen & Social on Phila St with my mother. ![]()
